Here we go again...

Last week, comedic superstars Sacha Baron Cohen and Will Ferrell agreed to star in a new Columbia Pictures flick based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic characters Sherlock Holmes and his crime-solving sidekick Watson. Now, Warner Bros.' competing film, a serious take on the great detective, is trying to steal some of Columbia's thunder. According to Variety, Robert Downey Jr. has agreed to make director Guy Ritchie's "Sherlock Holmes" his first project since "Iron Man" became a blockbuster in May.
